2023 Genesis GV60 Review and Specs

Welcome to the Topic “2023 genesis gv60 review and specs”

The 2023 GV60 crossover is a joyful and enjoyable entry from Genesis, a company with lofty aspirations in the luxury EV market. Although the GV60 takes design cues from other Genesis vehicles, it lacks the brand’s signature big trapezoidal grille that divides the two sets of headlights. A narrower grille spans the front bumper instead. Upon turning on the SUV, the crystal spherical shifter turns to reveal itself, giving the inside of the GV60 an air of refined luxury. The big monolithic display panel also acts as the instrument cluster and the entertainment system.

EV The motor, its power, and how it works

Even though the GV60 will eventually have three different powertrains, when it first comes out, it will only have the all-wheel-drive systems with two motors. The Advanced model has a total of 314 hp, while the Performance model has a total of 429 hp. However, the Performance model’s Boost driving mode can temporarily boost that number to 483 hp. When we used that driving mode, the GV60 Performance went from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The GV60 is pretty good on the road, and its handling is similar to that of the Porsche Macan. When cruising, the cabin is whisper quiet, but when you hit a winding road, the GV60 is fast enough to keep the driver entertained and stable enough to give them confidence.

Range, Battery Life and Charging

All versions have the same 77.4-kWh battery pack, but the EPA says that the GV60 Advanced with all-wheel drive can go up to 248 miles and the Performance model can go up to 235 miles. It is said that a base powertrain with rear-wheel drive and a longer driving range will be added later. Genesis says that if the GV60 is hooked up to a DC fast charging station, its battery can go from 10 to 80% full in just 18 minutes. On our highway fuel economy test route at 75 mph, we saw that the GV60 Performance had a range of 200 miles.

Real-World MPGe and Fuel Economy

The EPA says that the all-wheel drive Advanced trim of the GV60 gets up to 86 MPGe on the highway and 103 MPGe in the city. The city rating for the Performance trim is 97 MPGe, and the highway rating is 82 MPGe.

Cargo, Interior, and Comfort

The GV60 is the smallest SUV in the Genesis lineup, so it doesn’t have as much space as the GV70 and GV80. But it has a different, more high-tech-looking interior than other cars. Genesis took some chances and added some cool themes and features, like a gear selector that looks like a crystal ball when in park and flips upside down when in drive. The GV60 also has some interesting technology, like a facial recognition system that lets the owner unlock and start the car without a key. Fingerprint readers and other types of biometric tech are also built into the SUV.

Infotainment and Connection

All GV60 models come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment that shares a panel with a digital gauge cluster that is also 12.3 inches. The infotainment system in the Genesis works well enough, and you can control it with a clickwheel on the center console if you can’t reach the screen itself. It comes with a Bang & Olufsen stereo system, which is a nice feature that most competitors would charge extra for.
