Kia EV6 – pricing and Features

The 2023 Kia EV6 carves out a niche for itself in the competitive EV industry with peppy handling and a striking design. All-wheel drive is available on some versions and provides increased power and a maximum range of 310 miles. Rear-wheel drive is standard. This SUV has surprisingly sporty handling for a vehicle of its size, making long drives down quiet country lanes a joy. The new GT model is the best choice for speed demons this year. With 576 horsepower, it will make owners of the Stinger green with envy. It’s one of our top picks for SUVs since it’s a practical, enjoyable, and reasonably priced electric vehicle.

Pricing

Pricing for the Kia EV6 starts at $48,500 and goes up to $64,554.42. If you’re planning on paying cash, prices begin at $46,800. Costly monthly payments begin at $514.21. Starting at a little over $48,000. That will get you an entry-level, air-cooled, rear-wheel-drive hatchback. However, “basic” is too strong a word, as even the cheapest EV6 comes adequately equipped. The 325-horsepower all-wheel-drive (AWD) option adds slightly over $51,524 to the price of a GT Line model. Soon, you’ll be able to buy the top-of-the-line GT for nearly $61,828. It has 585 horsepower. The EV6 is reasonably priced regardless of the trim level selected.

Features

EV Engine, Horsepower, and Efficiency

The EV6 can be had with either rear-wheel drive provided by a single electric motor positioned on the axle, or with all-wheel drive provided by electric motors mounted in the front and rear. The standard model, with rear-wheel drive, has a smaller battery and 167 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive variants have a larger battery and either 320 or 576 total horsepower. With the larger battery pack, the total system output of the rear-drive EV6 increases to 225 horsepower.

Power, Capacity, and Operating Time

The Kia EV6 may be had with either a 58.0 kWh or 77.4 kWh battery pack. The larger one will naturally have a greater range. EPA estimates that the regular battery can take you 232 miles, while the longer-range option can take you up to 310. Although the GT model has the larger of the two batteries, its reduced range of 206 miles per charge is a major drawback for those interested in speed.

Interior, Leisure, and Space

While the EV6’s inside isn’t quite as boldly designed as its outside, it nevertheless manages to look more appealing and futuristic than any other Kia car now on the market thanks to its arrangement and features. The EV6 blends high-tech features like a digital dashboard and a floating center console with plenty of storage options and a huge bin underneath it. The two-tone, two-spoke steering wheel, the large start button on the center stack, and the sparing use of gold trim all contribute to the luxurious atmosphere of the driver’s compartment. Passenger room is abundant in the EV6, as it has a level floor and a wheelbase as long as that of a three-row, mid-size Kia Telluride. When the rear seats are folded down, there’s a total of 54 cu. ft. of storage capacity.
