The 5 Most Negotiable SUVs for Spring 2025

Lincoln Navigator

Here’s Why Dealers Are Slashing Prices

Spring car buying season is here, and if you’re looking for an SUV, now is the perfect time to negotiate. Using CarEdge’s car buying tools, we analyzed the latest SUV market trends, including market supply, sales rates, and leftover 2024 inventory. The result? Some SUVs are far more negotiable than others. Why are these SUVs ripe for negotiation? Oversupply. Some SUVs have been sitting on dealer lots for months, creating a situation where dealers and manufacturers need to move inventory quickly. That means bigger discounts, stronger incentives, and a higher likelihood of negotiating a great deal. If you’re looking for an SUV this spring, these are the five most negotiable models.

Jeep Wagoneer – A Premium SUV Primed For Discounts

When Jeep brought back the Wagoneer name in 2022, it was meant to mark the brand’s shift toward premium SUVs. However, that transition hasn’t gone as planned. Sales have remained sluggish, and dealerships are now sitting on an oversupply of new Wagoneers.

As of early 2025, Jeep has a 176-day supply of Wagoneers, meaning that at today’s sales pace, it would take nearly six months to sell all available inventory. That’s more than double the industry average, and a clear indicator that big discounts are on the way. The situation is even worse for leftover 2024 Wagoneers, which currently make up 2,200 units still on dealer lots.

With a base price of $59,945, the Wagoneer is not cheap, and the higher-end Grand Wagoneer starts at $71,945. But since so many are sitting unsold, dealers are highly motivated to make a deal. If you’ve been considering a large SUV, March and April are prime months to negotiate thousands off the sticker price of a new Jeep Wagoneer.

Pro Tip: Look for 2024 Wagoneers that have been on the lot the longest—these will be the most negotiable. Use CarEdge to locate VINs that dealers are desperate to sell.

Ford Escape – The End of the Road Means Big Savings

After 25 years, Ford has confirmed that 2025 will be the final model year for the Escape. With production winding down, dealers are scrambling to move the remaining inventory, which means deep discounts and strong financing incentives are likely in the months ahead.

The Escape currently has a 170-day supply, meaning dealerships have nearly six months’ worth of unsold units. That’s far beyond normal inventory levels, and with Ford discontinuing the Escape to make room for larger SUVs and future EVs, dealers are going to be offering aggressive deals to clear their lots.

For buyers, this is the perfect opportunity to save thousands. The Escape starts at $29,490, but leftover 2024 models will have the biggest price cuts as dealers prepare for the end of the model’s production run.Pro Tip: Use CarEdge to find Escapes that have been sitting on lots the longest—these are the models with the most room for negotiation.

Ford Bronco – More Inventory, More Negotiation Power

When the Ford Bronco returned to the market in 2021, it was an instant hit, with waitlists stretching for months. But fast forward to 2025, and Bronco inventory has reached its highest level yet.

Right now, both the Bronco 2-Door and 4-Door have an inventory supply of around 150 days—well above the industry average. This means dealers have a lot more Broncos than they need, and buyers should take full advantage of this oversupply.

Adding to the negotiability factor is the fact that 90% of all Bronco inventory consists of leftover 2024 models. Dealers want these gone before the new model year arrives, meaning now is one of the best times to negotiate a deal.

Pricing varies widely, with the Bronco Big Bend starting at $42,960 and the Bronco Raptor soaring to $92,920. No matter which trim you’re interested in, March and April 2025 are prime months to score a deal on a new Bronco.

Pro Tip: Focus on 2024 Broncos, especially those that have been sitting on dealer lots the longest. These are the SUVs that dealers will be most eager to discount.

Hyundai Santa Fe – High Supply Despite the Redesign

For much of the last year, Hyundai dealerships have struggled to keep inventory in stock due to high demand. But that’s no longer the case in 2025, with Hyundai’s inventory levels climbing to the highest they’ve been in years.

The Hyundai Santa Fe currently has a 155-day supply, making it one of the most overstocked Hyundai models heading into spring. That’s surprising, given that the Santa Fe received a major redesign last year.

However, with more 2025 models arriving at dealerships, dealers are more likely to offer strong incentives to move remaining 2024 inventory. Pricing starts at $35,345 for leftover 2024 models, with incoming 2025s seeing a $300 price increase. Pro Tip: Dealers will be most willing to negotiate on older 2024 Santa Fe models. Lincoln Navigator – The Most Negotiable Luxury SUV

If you’re shopping for a luxury SUV, the Lincoln Navigator is one of the most negotiable models in 2025. Inventory has piled up, and buyers have the upper hand when it comes to negotiating discounts.

With a 181-day supply, the Navigator has twice the industry average sitting unsold at dealerships. That’s bad news for Lincoln, but great news for buyers looking for a luxury SUV at a discount.

One key reason for this oversupply is the introduction of the redesigned 2025 Lincoln Navigator, which features a fresh look and updated technology. Leftover 2024s are piling up on dealer lots as many buyers look to the 2025 Navigator. But here’s the catch: the 2025 model comes with a $16,000 price increase. That makes the 2024 Navigator look like a bargain by comparison.

Pro Tip: If you’re considering a Navigator, go for a heavily discounted 2024 model. Be buyer beware: the Lincoln Navigator has a F Value Rating considering depreciation and total cost of ownership.
